Robinson Aerial Surveys, Inc. (Robinson), as a sub-consultant to Honeywell, is providing Architectural, MEP Engineering Design and Construction Administration services for the City of Newark, NJ.
The overall scope of the Energy Savings Plan, includes the renovation of 17 City owned buildings. The renovations involve replacement of lights with high efficiency, HVAC equipment with high-efficiency equipment, boiler replacement with high-efficiency boilers, new cogeneration system, replacement of chiller system, roof and window replacement, skylight restoration, occupancy sensors, and building envelope modifications.
Robinson is also responsible for Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection design drawings; specifications; and construction administration services for the City of Newark.
Robinson conducted the field survey to evaluate the existing conditions, prepared the MEP field condition report, coordinated with the utility companies for electrical power. The work included preparation of design drawings for lighting, wirings, emergency lighting, standby emergency generator, fire alarm systems, boilers, HVAC, exhaust fans, building management systems, ventilation, ducts, piping, sprinklers, and load calculations. In addition, Robinson is also providing shop drawing review, review and respond to RFI’s, review and recommendation for change orders, permits, and approvals, attending construction progress meetings, coordination, MEP change order analysis, preparation of MEP punch lists and review of MEP as-built drawings.
